Aurora Chinese style Cleaver
After studying many Chinese cleavers and speaking with chefs who use them exclusively we’ve distilled their knowledge into this aurora Chinese cleaver.
We forged this Tri-tone Damascus to shape and thickness in our shop, staying true to the traditional performance geometries of the Aurora Chinese style. These thin flat blades take a tremendous amount of time and skill!
For the handle, we shaped local buckeye burl (double dyed in-house) on “Grandpa”, our 1950’s Shopsmith.
