Hashi aka Chop sticks
Our small-batch Hashi are expertly hand-planed from reclaimed wood, a reflection of our commitment of craftsmanship, deep respect for nature, and cultivating community with one-of-a-kind culinary tools.
We’ve planed and sanded each set to ensure smooth, polished surfaces that are a joy to use.
*Each set is durable and beautiful, yet one-of-a-kind, due to the unique nature of every piece of wood we choose to reclaim.
Hyperlocal Reclaimed Wood
Each set of Hashi (commonly referred to as chopsticks) is made with wood we have intentionally repurposed from old structures like barns and fences, and often from wood scraps we’re determined not to throw away. In fact, a big batch of our Ipe hardwood used to craft our hashi is reclaimed from a demoed structure at SingleThread Farm.
Due to the unique nature of each piece of reclaimed wood we use, each pair of hashi vary slightly in color and grain.
Sustainably Finished with Local Beeswax
To enhance the beauty and durability of each pair, we've chosen to finish them with locally sourced beeswax from Single Thread Farm. Beeswax is a natural choice to bring the depth of color in the wood, further emphasizing its unique textures while providing a protective layer for long-lasting enjoyment.
Length: Approximately 9” long
